Mindful AI — Coherence
Rao Mikkilineni, Ph. D
Traditional epistemological frameworks treat “truth” as a passive representation of
an objective reality. This paper argues that such models are obsolete and dangerous,
leading to the accumulation of “Coherence Debt”—the structural divergence
between an agent’s internal model and the existential constraints of reality
Physics gives a precise account of matter and energy, but it still lacks a general way to describe how knowledge-bearing organization emerges in physical systems and shapes their behavior.
This paper advances Society of Minds as a philosophical bridge to AI: an
operational account of how intelligent systems can become answerable to
reasons, not merely capable of fluent outputs.
A collaborative research paper by Mark Burgin and Rao Mikkilineni — advancing the theoretical foundations connecting the General Theory of Information with Mindful Machine architectures and digital governance.
A concise introduction to the principles and vision of Mindful AI — covering the foundational ideas behind governed, coherent, and accountable intelligent systems for a broad audience.
